Description
Current Lot Leonardo Sciascia (1921-1989) Illustrated postcard bearing the image of the Cordoba Mezquita Cathedral , stamps and cancellation dated 23 April 1894, as well as an autograph, signed message written by the author of Il giorno della Civetta: 'Affettuosamente Leonardo Sciascia'. The postcard is addressed to the engraver Francesco Nasca. Sciascia and met each other at the Galleria Il Borgo, Palermo, in 1969, on the occasion of an exhibition of works by Bartolini. They became friends as they shared a passion for artistic engraving and prints.
