This is a magnificent piece. It is about 17 and half inches in height (44cm) and weighs about 8lbs. It is possible to date pieces from Bing & Grondahl by looking at the factory mark at the base (1970-1983). On the base are the 3 towers  from the City Coat of Arms of Copenhagen. Around the towers it says B & G Copenhagen Porcelain Made in Denmark (Green) and B & G (Blue). Dahl Jensen's signature is also incised into the base. I could not show this in the photos. If you hold the peice into the light on an angle it appears. The owl is in great condition without any flaws. It is an exceptional show piece from this distinguished porcelain factory! Good Luck!
